How do you create a wavy phrase...please

Hi everyone: I am trying to figure out how to create wavy text like the one "Leewinz" did in her layout called Fun in The Sun. http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/galle...hp?photo=63184
I tried creating a phrase then used the wave and flag mode within the text options but it doesn't seem to "wave" it enough. Maybe I need to create a path first and if so, how would I create a "wavey" path easily. Any help on this one would so appreciated!!!
Susan

Depends on what version of ps you have. If you have cs, you can create a path and have your text follow that path - sorry I don't know any more details on that one though.
Or, if you have ps 7, like me, you can type your text, rasterize your layer, go under filters - distort - polar coordinates - choose Rectangular to Polar, and it will put it into a circle for you. The only trouble with this is if you don't have enough text, it will not make a full circle so usually you have to make a few to see how big your font needs to be to make a full circle.

Hope this helps you, please let us know!

Uh, oops. I just looked at the lo again and saw what you were talking about. Before I quickly looked and saw the circle word only. About the waves, well, I'll have to leave that one to someone else. Sorry!!

Wouldn't the path work for the wave as well as the circle? Only I JUST got pscs and don't know from paths yet. But! I do remember in psp that you can attach a phrase to any vector shape and then make the shape or line invisible. Something along these lines, according to my uneducated guess! LOL.

I have photoshop 7.0 and where is how I can get wavy text like that.

Type out your text then click on the icon with the T and an arc under it on the options bar. You can then do a flag warp or a wave warp (click on the pull down menu by the word Style to select the warp type).

Thanks for the response. I did try that but it doesn't give a big enough wave. I think attaching it to a shape with a wave may be the answer by somehow using the path tool.

Thank you so much! I also have PS7 and had no idea I could do this (I'm new at PS, can you tell?). I like the flag even better than the wave. I also found it works best with short phrases with larger fonts. I will have a ball playing around with this!!
