Hello,

I'm guessing not with a graphics program but I may be wrong. You'll probably need a page layout program such and Pagemaker, Publisher, etc. Good Luck!

Yes you can - you need to turn on the Paragraph pallet. Window Menu > Paragraph. There are other justification options there, including full justification like a newspaper column.

Angry option not available, PS 7?

Kristin, what version do you have? I have PS7 and I can see the button, but it's grayed out so I can't click on it.

Question Good Morning Sleepyhead...lol

I also use PS7 at work and have to set the tracking for each line of text in order to get the justified look. My justified is also grayed out...

If you click on the arrow to the left on the paragraph tab...you can click on justification, however...I haven't fiddled with any of these settings, ie: glyph scaling??? what the heck is that??

Can anyone else shed some light on this subject..please!!???

I have PS7.

I think the problem is that you are in point text mode instead of paragraph mode (atleast this is the only way that I was able to get the button to grey out). When you enter your text, are you just clicking once where you want the text to start, then hitting enter when you want to wrap to a new line?

If you are, try this instead. With the type tool, click and drag a box where you want your text to be. This will make a text box that you can type in. just type away, and it will automatically wrap text to the next line when you reach the edge of the box. You can change the size of the box, and the text will automatically adjust to fill the new space. The rest of the justification button should now be active for you.

If you're doing that, and the buttons are still greyed out, let me know and I'll put my thinking cap on...

I don't use any of the advanced justification settings under the fly-out menu, the defaults work pretty well for me. But here's what they do:

Word spacing: lets you control how much space it puts between words when the text is justified
Letter Spacing: lets you control how much space it puts between each letter in a word when the text is justified
Glyph scaling: lets you control how much it stretches the letters horizontally when the text is justified
