Question what do I do after I download a new brush???

I downloaded some new brushes, they came with a kit I got in the downloads section...
I don't know how to get my new brushes in my brushes palette in Photoshop!
Can anyone help me, I'm a newbie to Photshop so you might need to explain it to me as if I were 5 yrs old

You just copy the brush file, which has an .abr extension, into the brushes folder of PS (photoshop, presets, brushes). After you restart PS they will show.

not working???

I tried it but its not working!
Is there a maximum of brushes I can have in the palette? I just got PS CS 2 days ago, and I tried to add 6 new brushes... I restarted PS and they didn't show up, so I restarted my computer to see if that would help and they still didn't show?
I feel like an incompetent dummy

Wait a minute.
Have you chosen the brushes first in the toolbar or in the palette itself? If you open the brush palette you have to click on the little arrow to the right to choose the brush you want to look at first. If you just look at the palette you will only "see" the brush set that is currently chosen, which is probably some standard brush that comes with PS.
Let me know if this helps.

Hmmm, can't think of anything else right now, unless.... you did unzip the file and only copy the .abr file, didn't you?
I'll have a think about it tonight (must go to bed now LOL).
