Color Management - ICC file?

Hi there,

I printed my LOs for the first time at Costco and was VERY SATISFIED with my experience there. The LOs were gorgeous and sooo affordable (2.99 for a 12x18 poster size - I added 3 4x6 photos at the bottom at the suggestion of many others that do this size - great idea - thank you!). While I was there the guy at the photolab said I should download an enhanced custom color profile that matches their printer (found it at http://www.drycreek.com - the right profile for the printer that my local Costco uses). Now I have the file but don't know what to do with it and how to use it.

1. Do I put it a special location (like brushes go in the Preset/Brushes folder)?
2. How do I load it?
3. Do I load it once and then it's set for all documents from now on or do I have to set it individually for each file I do?
4. Does it show up in the color picker box as a warning (like non-web-safe colors do if it doesn't match a color in the profile so when I colorizing objects or creating papers I can see that a color is good or not?

Any other tips would be appreciated. Now I need to go read up on color management.

TIA,
Lisa

Can someone tell me if a non-member can print at Costco? We're not anywhere even remotely close to Costco BUT we will be travelling to San Antonio next month and I could print some things at that time. We don't have, nor do we need, a membership, and I'd expect a surcharge .... but how does it work?

I believe you go to Edit -> Color Settings and then click load, but I'm not 100% sure.
