Oh my goodness, I don't know what I've done but nearly all of my fonts are messed up. Instead of it showing the letters as they should be, now half of them (or some of them, there doesn't seem to be any pattern) are missing the middles. I know this sounds wierd, but it's like there is a tiny line in the middle surrounded by dead space and then a line outside of the dead space outlining the letters.

I have a ton of fonts installed on my computer, all from reputable sites, and I just hate to lose them. If anyone could give wisdom on the situation I would appreciate it. I use Photoshop 7 if that helps, and if there's anything else I left out, let me know and I'll add more.

Does this happen only in Photoshop or is it the same in other programs?

Whew, I can breathe again! I was in panic mode for a minute and couldn't think clearly. My dh suggested restarting the computer (duh), and now everything seems to be normal again. Now I'm off to burn everything to CD. Nothing like a good shake up to get you moving, huh?!
