Adobe Photoshop Thread, make your own custom brushes? in Software, Programs and More; PLEASE TELL ME HOW!!! its not working for me! and I have tried every tutorial EVER known to the internet!...

Yes tell us more if you can....making brushes can be a bit of trial and error, esp. if you are experimenting with making grunge brushes. Let us know where you are getting stuck!

ok well i followed this tutorial I found.. and everytime I go to save brushes. it just replaces the name for the other brushes in he pallate. I was told to clear my brush pallate. and leave one since you cant have an empty one. but its just not working

I usually load a brushs et with jsut one brush in it. Create my brushes. Then right click and delete the origianl brush so that I have just my new brushes. Then I click on the little arrow in the top right corner, and select the save brushes option. Type in the new file name and you should be good. If you forget by chance to save them then when you try to load or replace a new set it will ask you if you want to save your new brushes. Make sure you type in a new file name. Load it fromt he presets file - It won't show up in the brush palette until you reload PS

WOO HOO I figured it out.. I didnt know the step where you go from edit to define brush...lol YAY!!
