Adobe Photoshop Elements

I may decide to upgrade my APE from 1.0 to 2.0. However, I did not notice many tutorials on APE. Are the tutorials for Adobe photoshop the same. Is this the reason. I am one of these people who need step by step instructions so I was hoping to get a program that you all were very familiar with so I could lean on you.
thanks,
chelsea

Hi Chelsea,

I have both versions of Elements and I've been pretty successful in "translating" the PS tutorials. I have found that Elements 2 has more of the PS features so you'd probably have an easier time with this version. My program of choice is actually Photoimpact. If you're looking for a new program you may want to give Photoimpact a try. Good Luck!

I have several tutorials on my website and will be adding more. I've also had success translating from PS to PSE- for the most part. I've also learned quite a bit from the online classes here.

Chelsea,

As mentioned you usually can use PS tuts in PSE with a little imagination or guesswork on what a particular function is called in PSE versus PS. I know that the (H)DTM here is working on marking all the PS tuts that WILL work in PSE. Also check out www.escrappers.com and http://myjanee.home.insightbb.com/tutorials.htm Both of these sites clearly mark which tutorials work in PSE and give you any extra directions necessary.

HTH!
