Exclamation $30 Rebate for Photoshop Elements

I don't know if this has been posted before, but here's a great rebate for anyone interested. It is advertised as incentive to upgrade from Elements 1.0 or LE, ArcSoft Photo Studio, CorelDRAW Essentials, JASC Paint Shop Pro, Microsoft Photo Draw or Picture IT!, MGI PhotoSuite, Roxio PhotoSuite, or Ulead PhotoImpact or Photo Express. Apparently you just need to provide the name of the product and the valid serial number. My sister purchased the software at Wal-mart for $58.62 and she called Adobe to ask if she would be eligible for the rebate. They told her it was valid until 8/11/04. Here's the link where you can print out the rebate:

Just a word of warning on this rebate. I bought PSE at Walmart last fall, thinking I'd try the same thing. When we called Adobe, they said something like "sure, you'll get the rebate, as long as you paid $99 for the software". They didn't seem to know anything about Walmart selling it for under $60.

I'm sure this is the same rebate. It was an upgrade rebate, and we had two or three of the qualifying software.

We mailed the rebate in -- just in case -- and Adobe returned it, saying that the price at Walmart included the rebate, and they would not honor the rebate on software purchased at Walmart. They even pointed out that there was no rebate slip in the Walmart box for that very reason.

Bummer, huh?
