Layer Styles Question

I have PSE2 and I looked at the tutorial for making a general layout. It shows a Layer Styles box, I have not been able to find that box with PSE2. Is that only in the regular Photo Shop?

Thanks

Layer Styles should appear in the row of tabs in your upper right corner of PSE2. If it is not listed there with (how to, filters, effects, swatches, undo history, et al.) go to the Window menu and click Layer Styles and it will pop up for you.

HTH!

Thanks I will give that a look. Can you change the color of the shadow in the layer styles? Sorry for so many questions and for sounding dumb. Just trying to learn.

The Layer Styles in PSE just plop in basic drop shadows, bevels, etc. You can adjust them some by clicking on the "f" icon in the layer palette, but color is not adjustable. There may be a way to do to since PSE has a large amount of the functionality of PS but it is not always easily accessable.

You can check out The Hidden Power of PhotoShop Elements. The author, Richard Lynch, gives lots of ways to work around the limitations of PSE.

If you don't ask questions, you're not stretching your abilities and learning!
