textures in PSE

I have recently decided to try out pse. I am using PSP 8 and am very comfortable with it. My question is to anyone who is familiar with both programs. Is there any more textures than the 5 listed in the texturizer function. If there is, where can I find these. I love that function in psp, there are tons of different textures. Am I just not looking in the correct place in pse? Also, is there a way that I can import my psp textures into pse?

Thanks

Sandy

PSE comes with just those few textures. However, you can load any other texture that you want. I think the drop down box has load texture as it's final option. I'm at work, and don't have the software, but I think the textures have to be bmp's, maybe?

Hopefully someone else will be able to provide more detail.

Sandy, you can load any .psd (photoshop) file as a texture. When you choose Filter>Texture>Texturizer, the last option in the drop down box is Load Texture. From there you can select your photoshop file. So either in PSP or PSE, open your texture image and just save it as a .psd file.

Also, I have some extra textures saved in my Presets folder that I believe came with the program, but don't load in the Texturizer list (I don't remember downloading them or saving them, so they must have come with the program!) Check in your presets folder: Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop Elements 2/ Presets/Textures. I have things like Stucco, Feathers, Footprints, etc.

Good luck!
