Hi all.

I do have PSE2. I am able to bring in text from Word and use the Magic Wand to select and delete the white background. I just can't figure out why it brings in the white background in the first place. Do I need to do anything other than highlight the text in Word, right-click, and copy?

That's exactly what I did, and it just brought over the text. I don't know why your background is coming....

when I copy from word and paste into PSE2 WITHOUT first selecting the text tool, it will paste the copied text into PSE2 with a white background BUT it maintains its formatting from word.

when I copy fromword and paste into PSE2 AND select the text tool prior to pasting, it will paste the copied text into PSE2 with a transparent background BUT the formatting from word is lost.

Is this how everyone else does it?
