Can you raster text layers in pse?

In tutorials I always see that you are supposed to go to layers>raster layer to be able to edit a text layer. I can't find the word raster anywhere. Is this not possible in pse? If not can anyone tell me how to make a text layer editable. I can edit until I start moving the text, then it locks or something.

Thanks Denis for the answer. Thanks also for being a tremendous resource. I used your link to Adobe and went through every PSE tutorial. I've also used some of your downloads in my layouts and have your site bookmarked because you have some wonderful links.

There are a few other things that are called by different names in PSE than in PS. But I've found if you search around you can usually figure out what they are. Sometimes I go look at the file names on my hard drive, and then I have an "a-ha" moment!
Love those "a-ha" moments!
