HELP....PE2 is Killing Me!!

After 6 (or so) weeks of trying to learn PE2 daily, on my own, I am not making any headway. It is so frustrating. I don't care how many tutorials I TRY to use, it just ain't working.

I have done a few basic pages with tools off of PE2, but when I start trying to bring in multiple elements and/or photos, I am hitting a brick wall. I think I am having problems with layers, but I am not sure.

At this point, I am not trying to do anything special with the photos, as I just want to create some layouts.

I know that this is the program that I want to use and I am not a quitter, but I am stumped.

Can I talk anyone into an online adoption for me????

Tomorrow will be a better day.

I understand your frustration - I have been experimenting with PSE for about the same amount of time. I often feel like beating my head against a wall and yet for some reason I can't stop

However I do feel like I have made some progress. The only advise I can give is (basically what I have tried) just trying one thing at a time. If I can't figure it out, I use the online Adobe tutorial and/or I ask for advice here - the responses have been very helpful. Seems like once I figure out one technique it gives me light into the others. I also have started writing down little hints I figure out along the way because they make sense at the time but I know if I don't use it in a couple of days I will be starting from scratch.

Best of luck - I can only assume it will get better but the journey is fun (and addictive).

Thumbs up

I went to the Adobe tutorials - it was awesome and most definitely the best that I have found to date online for PE2.

I read the "layers" section three times. I am going to review them again in the morning and then give "old PE2" another shot.

Many, many thanks.

Be glad to help

Sounds like you are up and running a little faster with the tuts that denis suggested..... but ... if you get stuck with something or have questions feel free to send me a private message and I'll do my best to help you out anytime. I'm not a pro at this program but can work with it pretty well I think! Hang in there! ~Christina~
