Question Linked layers

Hi - I hope someone can help me. I'm new to PS, so I'm sure that I'm just overlooking something. I have several layers linked in my layout (like a shape with a pic on top of it). I link them together by clicking the chain on my "layers" list. Then I get in one of the layers, select the picture for example, go to "free transform" or "transform" and try to rotate the elements. But it only rotates the pic, not the shape that's supposedly linked to it. What am I missing?

I'm not sure what you are missing...but I'll tell you the way I do it.

I just use the move tool. Make sure that you have the bounding box checked and move your cursor to the corner. When you see it change to the rotate symbol you should be good to go.

HTH!
