Photoshop Elements HELP!

I treated myself to Photoshop Elements 2.0 and am having a fun time with it...except for one thing. I'm sure I'm not doing something I should be, so I hope someone can give me a hand!

How do I place elements (either jpg or png) on a background I've created? I can open the element, no problem, but how do I put it on the page? The one way I've found to do it is saving each element as an eps file and then going under File, then Place -- but that seems to me to be an extra step or two that I don't need to be doing.

Can anyone help me?

Kelly

You can either drag it to your page or do a select all (ctrl-a) copy (ctrl-c) and paste (ctrl-v). It took me hours to figure this out too!

So far I've done the select and copy and paste method. I'm getting better with the selection features day by day.

I haven't seen the Place feature- gonna have to check that out.

Yay -- it worked! I tried the click-and-drag method, and it worked! It's one of those things that make you go, "Why didn't I think of that?" Soooo much easier than making everything an eps file!
