Hi, gals, it's been a while! I've been learning new program, new computer, new operating system!! Here's my problem -- I was able to copy the actions I previously purchased from old XP OS computer to my new Vista OS -- but cannot figure out where they go! On XP it was Cocuments&Settings/AllUsers/ApplData/Adobe/PSE5/PhotoCreations/SpecialEffects. I also used Graffi's Add-O-Matic which was pretty slick for adding all the effects into the right folder, but I can't get it to work in Vista (although I'm pretty sure it's supposed too)! When I went to their website, it said just substitute "ProgramData" for Documents&Settings. But, After I geet to PSE5 in the Adobe, there is no Photo Creations folder.

I hope I've explained well enough what I mean and
thanks bunches and bunches for any help in advance.

Great resource Lisa. I found that PSE5 doesn't show the preview of the action in the Layers style palette-- at least for those from Atomic Cupcake. I also copied the preview jpg file to the actions folders. In the Layer Styles palette two files with the same name will be listed. The blank one is the action. Good Luck with Vista - it was frustrating to learn but found a cool tool- the snipping tool for taking screen shots. Welcome back Debby and look forward to seeing more from you.

rde if you change the jpg to say thumbs instead of the name of it.. it should show up !! try that

Yikes! I feel like such a dork -- I was going to program files instead of program data, LOL! I've got them loaded in the correct place now. Now I'm having trouble with the Artwork & Effects pallet freezing up, but I'm working with Adobe on that, they fixed it once, but I think I got things messed up trying to put my files in the work place. Thanks for the link and your help, Lisa -- I bookmarked the site for future reference!
