Question CutOut Actions

I purchased this action and can't seem to figure it out. Can someone help me? I am using PSE 5.0. I printed the directions that came with it, but still can't get it to do right.

thanks,
dawn

Have you installed other actions in PSE 5.0?

Yes, I have several other ones installed.

The directons said make a selection with rectangle marquee and when I do hit continue it tells me no pixels have been selected. I have tried the lasso tools and it still says the same thing.

This was my problem last week... I have PSE 5

I had to make the rectangle (a horizontal one) very large... but not to close to the edge of the photo. I corrected my frame later.

I still got errors running the action, but it worked.

I just ran it again... you literally have to make the marquee the width of the photo.

Then for the later steps, you have to make sure that you have the mask part of the layer (in the layers palette) selected.

I PMed Michelle about this... and saw in other threads that people had problems, and trouble contacting her... so I think I'll make my own instructions with screen shots, and post it here.

That would be so great if you could post with screen shots. I will try to do a larger rectangle and see.

Thank you so much.

Does any have the burn and dodge action set? I figured all of them out except for one.
