Using AC actions in PSE 5 ?

Hi, I hope you can give me a bit of help. I have lots of AC actions for PSE and I love them! I just upgraded to PSE 5 and want to use the actions. I understand about the path being different for installation but when I put the AC folder in there it doesn't show up. Anything anyone could share that might help me out?

okay here ya go.. shortened and condensed version!

First within your AC folderfor each action you have to rename the psd file to thumbs (with the psd on the end)

Then you need to put them into this folder C:\documents and settings\all users\application data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Photo Creations\Special Effects\Photo Effects.

You might need to "unhide" your system folders to find that (or you can copy and paste it)

Make sure you don't have PSE open when doing this. After you upload those folders hold down the shift key as pse uploads and it should bring up a menu that says it is updating it

I found some instructions that worked for me on the PanosFX website. There is also free effects for PSE. Hope this helps you

Not sure if this will help you, but I couldn't get my actions to show up in PSE 5 until I realized I wasn't paying attention to the "all users" part of the folder name, and my actions didn't show up. Make sure you are using the right path--it could save you a lot of headaches.

This thread was a big help. I just installed some photo actions into PSE 5. They work, but the thumbs show up seperately, so for two actions, there are four thumbnails. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Oh, and I'm using Vista.

I'm having the same problem too, would like to see how I can fix this!

Are they in the same folder? Or in their own separate folders?
