saving psd files

I mistakenly saved some BEAUTIFUL LO's to a CD_RW in psd format. Now I can't upload them back into PSE4 due to some error . The JPEGs are OK. Is there a way to fix this, or will I have to re-do those LO's?
TIA!

Oh, how heartbreaking. Was it a multi- session burn to the CD or did you burn everything all at once? Have heard that multi-session burns may result in data loss. Is it just one file or all of them. There have been a few instances when PSE wouldn't recognize a PSD file but never did find a cause for that- Has happened to me a few times and have heard others say the same thing. ALso have heard it is better to save to R formats instead of RW. Sorry really don't have a solution- just asking more questions for you to answer so that somewhat more knowledgable can give a solution. I surely hope there is one out there for you.

Might try copying the psd to your HD if you haven't already. Then opening it.

Also there other programs that can open PSD files other then just adobe. You might try that to see if the problems lies within the relation between the file and PS.

One free software that will open PSD files is IRFanView. Incase you don't have another software that opens PSD files.

Sorry to hear about the problem. Hope something works out for you. I don't have problems with mutil-sessions, but I don't use RW's either. Again hope at least one of the things suggested by all works.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I will try them and see what happens.
RDE I did save tham all at once. Is there a reason you don't use RW's? I thought it would be more convenient to add to the disk as needed rather than having to always do them all at once. Any further advice/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks so much!

To make it easier with the all at once burn method I create a burn folder. Right clicking on the folders properties helps me know when I have enough to fill a CD-r. You can then just drag the entire contents into your burn software rather then having to sort through various folders, files, and file locations prior to burning a whole disk.

I don't use RW's because of:

-Price - more the CD-r discs
-Time - Takes time to format when you want to clean on of and re-use.
-Have heard of others loosing data of of RW's more often then CD-r discs.
-And last of all when I am done with a CD-r it makes nice in expensive coaster and/or yard ornament to scare birds away from my garden.

Ok I admit it the last one was meant to be a little silly.
