Aligning Objects

One of the things I really missed in PSE as opposed to other graphics programs I've used was the ability to align items. The other day I made one of those DUH discoveries. On one of my drop-down menus (can't remember which one and I don't have the program on this computer) I clicked on grid. Bingo! There was a grid super imposed over my layout and I was able to align and size much easier than just eyeballing it. You can even adjust the size of the grids. I generally don't like to work with it displayed all the time because I find it distracting so I just use it for tweaking things when I'm ready for the finall layout.

This is probably pretty basic but it took me a while to find it so I thought it might be helpful to others.

I don't have it yet but am planning on getting Richard Lynch's Hidden Powers of Photoshop Elements which addresses this issue. See the thread A Great Newsletter for PSE for more information.

I "think" PSE also has guides...add some where you want your objects aligned and then they automatically snap to the guides when you move them.

That was a really horrible explaination....but hopefully SOMEONE will understand it!
