Question on drop shadows

I know you can adjust the pixel width and shade I think, in Photoshop, but can you do that in PSE5? I haven't been able to figure it out, and would really like to be able to do that. Thanks for any help.

Dawn,
after you apply the shadow it leaves a little flower symbol in the layer that you put the shadow on. If you right click (or double click)--not on the computer that has pse5 LOL that it will bring up a menu where you can do all of those things and even change the what angle the shadow is coming from

You can also scale the shadow layer style, by going to layer/layer style/scale effects.

I've been going back to PSPX to apply my shadows because I couldn't (too lazy to) figure it out in PSE5. So, do you use the shadow in the effects section then make your adjustments, or do you use a shadow brush on a new layer? When I looked under Layer Styles, it wasn't available. Do I need a shadow first then go under Layer Styles? While I'm asking, are there bevels also that I'm missing?

Hmm, yes you should have layers styles for drop shadows and for bevels. I don't have PSE 5, but I can't imagine they aren't supposed to be there. Was it greyed out? Maybe the layer was locked?

To answer the first question, I often do custom shadows where I place the shadow on a new layer and manipulate that. I get more control that way, I have a tut on my site that should work in PSE 5 too.
