Question Question on PSE 5

This may seem simple, but I am not sure I am doing it right. When I want to open a picture to start a new lo, or multiple pictures and papers, etc...when I go to open, it takes me to my pictures folder. I don't understand how to get them from my PSE organizer. Why put them all in there if I can't access them from the editor? Thanks for you help.

I used the organizer briefly. Actually I think you work from the organizer-select your items and then there should be a pull down menu or right click for an option to open them in the editor. I haven't used the organizer with version 5. In PSE 4 my scrapbooking collection was so large the organizer got slower and slower on performance so I didn'tcarry it over to version 5. Basically you use the organizer for search purposes once you have tagged the different items. I usually just use the windows folders view and navigate to the folder I want, make my selctions and drag them into the editor.

Dawn,

Just above the Tool Options Bar is a row of a few buttons. Click on the Organize Photos button - that will open the organizer. Then, you can click on a photo and drag it to the editor (go to the task bar, hover over the Editor, when the editor opens drop your photo in the photo bin) or you can right click on the photo and choose "Open in Editor" (I think it's ctrl-I).

Thanks for the help. I am going to try dragging it in to the editor, and I have organized all my stuuf in folders too, so I will figure out which way I like better.
