Holes in tags showing white

I am new to PSE and digi scrapping, Im attempting my first layout, when I bring in a round tag it shows white in the hole as well as white around the edges (Bascially tag is in white box), I've used the magic wand to get rid of the white around the edges but I cant figure out how to empty the hole, any help is appreciated

Sweetie, you must be sure to use a .png file because those allows transparencies. If you use a .jpg file will show white around the edges. Most kit have both files.
To change a .jpg into .png (if you don't have both files in your kit) first make a copy of the layer and erase the bottom layer. Then with your magic wand select all white and erase. To erase the white of the tiny hole zoom it in and place the magic wand in the hole.
Now everywhere that was white will now show at a chess board. Go to "save as" and save it at .png file

I hope its helps

that really shouldn't happen unless the designer saved the file in the wrong format. It should be a .png format in the first place.

I checked the properties of my tag and it says .png at the end but I'm still seeing white. I cant figure out what I am doing wrong, the only thing I can think of is that I am not adding them properly to my layouts (I go to organiser and press copy, and then press go to edit and select paste on my layer, am I doing this the wrong way?)
