I am using PSE3 and I would like to take an element and change the color. Now I have done this before with the "adjust color - adjust hue/saturation" but I have just figured out a color that I thought would be close to the color I want. Now I would like to change this element to a specific color. Is it possible with either the numbers or the eyedropper to change this element to the color I need?

You would still use the adjust hue and sat. Make sure the color you desire is in the foreground palette first, then go to hue and sat and click the colorize button. Then play with the saturation and lightness. HTH.
