Having Issues:(

Im using PSE4.0 and im starting to get pretty ticked off. I keep getting the error that my scratch disk is corrupted and my work is unrecoverable. So i lose everything i just worked on.

I was assuming maybe one of the files i had used in the LO was corrupt.

I can then turn around and recreate the same exact LO, using the same exact materials. And it saves just fine.

Im frusterated having to do everything twice.

HeLP!!!!!!

Jess

I can't help you, since I'm new to PSE 4 myself. But I just wanted to let you know that I TOTALLY understand how frustrating it is! I hope you find the answer soon.

Have you checked the adobe website FAQ??? This is a new on for me, I have been using PSE4 for a while and haven't had that happen. It does seem that it is something in your elements that Adobe doesn't want to read or save. Have you thought about re installing your PSE4, and see if that helps?

I think im going to do that tonight. This is the 3rd time in 3 days that this has happened. When i phoned Adobe, they were clueless, and said basically that i would lose my project and they were sorry. That is was a file problem with something i was using, not with adobe itself. grrrrr.. just frusterated.

Do you have your Scratch Disk options configured correctly? Don't know if this helps, but here is a link to Adobe Support Knowledgebase: http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/331968.html

But if you have been in contact with Adobe directly, that is probably your best source for any tech support. Good Luck!

I use PSE4, and haven't had this type of problem before. I asked DH when he got home from work (he's a computer technician), and he suggested running a scan-disk or check-disk to see if your drive is healthy. Sounds more like a "bad spot" on your hard drive. Feel free to pm me tonight if you need my dh's assistance with this (I make him work here for free).
