Unzip and PSE 3 or 4??

Hi - I am a newbie, totally. When I download a kit, how do I unzip it? I know how to unzip alphabets I have purchased and saved to my desktop, then when I click on them my computer (XP) asks if I want it unzipped and it does it.

I am thinking now - after reading on your site for 3 hours - that I should put kits in folders and organize stuff, not just save it to my desktop. So if there is a unzip helper I really would appreciate your help!

I own and have just started PSE 2 - I want to upgrade to PSE 3, but I can't find it on line. Also, I think it come with PSE Album, no? On the adobe site it only have PSE 4 - no upgrade to PSE 3...

I will end with .......HELP........

I use a free program called unzipthemall. Do a search for it on the web. It allows you to unzip your files to a folder titled the same as the orizinal zip file. Then you can delete the zipped files (they are only really for downloading) once you unzip them and confirm that the stuff is in the folders. I wouldn't save everything to your desktop, it will get VERY busy and full quickly. In your main harddrive (C or D or whatever) create a folder titled something like DigitalScrapbooking and then save all your unzipped stuff here. You can actually download the zipped files to this same folder so they are always easy to find. Hope that helps, I reall love the unzipthemall program it is so easy!

i would create a folder in windows explorer, that is for zipped files. when you go to save a zip file, save it here, not your desktop. that way it is in a local that wont clutter your desktop. you can go unzip later - if need be - and know where it is. (just a way of organizing) in fact. i dont ever save anything to my desktop. i hate clutter!

then start creating folders named whatever the kit name is.

then double clip the zip file (from windows explorer) and extract the files to the "named" folder.

its very fast and easy to do.
