making wavy lines using liquify in PSE3

I am still trying to find a postage cancellation mark tutorial. Then I was looking in the filters and found distort--liquify and there in the top right hand corner are the "waves" that I want to achieve. I just can get the line to wave uniformly. Can anyone point me to a tutorial for that?
Thanks.
Alison

You may have already found a way to do this, but when I've made cancellation marks in PSE I've done it with the wave shape that's a standard shape. I may have had to make a copy of the original wave and move it over to make it long enough. It's been a while since I've made one. Holler if you need more info!
