I love creating layouts with my Elements 4.0. Pretty much everything I create uses a resolution of 300. They look GREAT on my computer, they print great too at home, but when I upload them to say winkflash or walmart, they get all pixelized and print out crappy. What am I doing wrong??!!

I've tried saving as tiff, jpg, png...All at maximum levels and this always happens. I'm so mad that DD's christmas card now looks horrible and I think I'm gonna have to suck it up and print and cut it from home.

Please help!!

i really don't know what you could be doing sarah. I have never had trouble with print quality when I send out. could you be saving them at too small a size and trying to print them out larger? Like saving a 6x6 but trying to print at 12x12?

i was going to say what rkrox79 said....
i use winkflash exclusively...i save all layouts at 300dpi and create them the exact same size i entend on printing them...

meaning, if i know im going to print 8x10 or 5x7....that is the size i make the layout....i never resize once its made....i dont know if thats why i never have problems....but that is just what i do

What dimnsions are they? Total number of pixels in each dimension?

I use Costco and they have a little box to check for full resolution. My co-worker didn't notice that tiny weeny little box and when she upload her pixs for her calendar and her pictures were all pixelated. Lucky for Costco that I had created and printed LOs for her with a couple of the same pictures so she knows that she can get quality prints at Costco.

Thanks everyone!!!

I actually finally emailed Winkflash, and they said that it will actually print out fine. My 1st was blurry because I had only done it in 72dpi. They said that the one that I'm waiting to arrive will print perfectly. That it was just an issue with their preview screen that was making it look so horrible. So will see. I was amazed though, I got a response within an hour of emailing them, so thumbs up for Winkflash!!!

I do do all my LOs in the final size.
