Stroke

I am looking for an easy way to 'mat' photos (basically give them a white edge) just like the LO found here. Whenever I use Edit>Stroke, I end up getting rounded corners instead of square... any thoughts? Thanks~

Choose to create the stroke inside the selection and you'll have sharp corners.

whooo hooooo!!!! I'm so excited!! I'm using PSCS, and I never knew you could choose "inside" to get sharp corners! I never use Stroke because I don't like the rounded corners - this is great!!!! Thank you so much!

Heehee... I'm glad you guys found that helpful! I love "discovering" something that's been there all along.

Stroke

Is this function available in PSE3 as well as CS?

Yes, you can use stroke on any selection in PSE or PS. To outline the edge of a photo CTRL click on the photo in the layer palette. Make sure that the Marquee tool is active (just hit M to quickly switch to it) and right click anywhere inside your LO. Then select Stroke from the pop-up menu. To get nice sharp corners make sure to pick inside and give a stroke size and color.
