ME is listed as an acceptable platform on the system requirements. Tell us more about how you're installing it, what problems/errors you're having, and we'll be able to help more.

PSE3 trial version

I'm having problems too. I just downloaded the trial version, and ran through the set up, etc. I can't open the program. It defaults to an information box that says the trial has expired. I can't find an email address to ask the Adobe people about this. They just have FAQ's, support groups and what if's. Can anyone help me with this? I don't want to buy into this if its too complicated and I can't find help because its not cheap.

I've heard of people and the nightmare PSE installation, I haven't personally had any trouble. Problem is, Adobe doesn't have free tech support trial software or past versions: only registered current versions. You can call their paid help line, or just get the help you need from the FAQ, forums like at Adobe or here.

IF you've already downloaded the trial, if it's ever been on your computer, you can never download it again. It leaves a code in your registry, so when you try to open it the expiration screen comes up.

If you purchase PSE, you can access the free tech support.

I have to plug PSE here, it's a fanstastic program. Once you learn it, you will love it. And if you ever want to upgrade to PS CS, then Adobe offers great upgrades for around $299 for PSE users every so often. Can NOT beat that price!

Thanks Emma,
I think you have helped me identify the problem, although I can't say I have found a solution. I did download the trial version and I had some problems with the download so I got rid of it and tried to download it again. Of course, Adobe won't let me do this. That's why I was looking for an email address for support. I will have to pay for Adobe support to help me resolve this issue I guess.

You can download it as many times as you want, but the 30 days starts from the FIRST download. So if it hasn't been 30 days since the first, then you should still be fine.

but in this case, either the Adobe forums or paid tech support is the way to go. But if you're pretty sure you want to buy it anyway, just buy it and get free support. I'm telling you can't go wrong with PSE. For the price, DIP and PSP are comparable, so unless you're considering either of those, just buy it. You can click Upgrade on the expiration screen, or get it from Aamzon with a rebate. Ends up around $60

You might try buying a copy of PSE2 off eBay -- they'll be quite inexpensive now that PSE3 is out. I bought my PSE2 for $12 from eBay, and another few bucks for shipping. Maybe better and less frustrating than trying to get some real human help by calling Adobe's help line if it's just a matter of your having downloaded the trial version longer than 30 days ago.

I think I will go with the PSE II idea. I just want to try this program and see if I like it and can use it. Thanks for the suggestions.
I like photosuite very much but I know its limits, and so would like to try PSE.
