Need a tutorial for making chik avatars

Is there a tutorial for making chik avatars. I know there's one that's for Photoshop (http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/tutor...o-pen-tool.htm), but I have PSE 3, didn't know if there is one around and how can I get the pen tool with PSE? So far, I can't find anything...maybe I'm missing something or not typing in the correct search?
