Question Frustrated.

I have been using PSE2 for some time and but am getting frustrated. I am working on a layout and I will get a message saying program error sorry or not enough ram. I have a 224MB of Ram on my computer and was told I would never use it all. I really get annoyed when I am working on a layout and lose my work. I do save as I work but obviously not enough. Is anyone else having this problem in pse2. Thanks for any help.

Remember RAM is your "working space". It is not your harddrive where everything is stored. So you CAN run out of RAM. I have 1GB of RAM & run out. Like others have said, close out any other programs you may have open. I use PSP and if I'm working with alot of different files and copying stuff, I EMPTY MY CLIPBROARD often to make things run smoother also.

HAVE FUN!

How do I empty my clipboard? S far, no memory issues, but I always like to be prepared, and I never heard of emptying a clipboard?

I never knew this!!

so I looked it up for Photoshop CS this is how you do it - probably similar for PSE?

Choose Edit > Purge, and choose the item type or buffer you want to clear. If already empty, the item type or buffer is dimmed.

Important: The Purge command permanently clears from memory the operation stored by the command or buffer; it cannot be undone. For example, choosing Edit > Purge > Histories deletes all history states from the History palette. Use the Purge command when the amount of information held in memory is so large that Photoshop's performance is noticeably diminished.
