Question about rotating images

I am having a problem when I rotate an image. The edges of the image that I rotate are not straight but sort of wavy. I am just clicking on the layer and then dragging my mouse to rotate the image. Does anyone have any helpful hints about this. Thanks so much in advance.

I'm guessing that a PM is a private message. Does that mean I should expect an email? Thanks.

Yes, PM is private message. To access your PMs at SBB click on Quick links above and select Private Messages. HTH!

Also... when you rotate your pictures, are you finishes the rotation by clicking the checkmark? Sometimes the previews for rotation or resizing the image does NOT look good until the change is completed. Another thing is sometimes when you're zoomed out pictures or even strips on an angle look wavy. If you zoom into 100% they look fine. It's just an artifact of your computer trying to show smaller version of your LO.

HTH! If not let us know.

I read a tip in a book about PhotoShop Elements that said it's best to look at your images in 25, 50, 75 or 100% views to get the real feel for the page. If you do "fit to page" the image will be under 25% usually (well, probably depends on your monitor) and you'll get those wavy lines upon rotating a layer. No worries--in 25% view you'll see the image as it will look when printed.

What she said -- commit it, zoom in & it will look better. Also, if you are trying to rotate an object 90% or flip it exactly, you can use Image>Rotate and there are several options for moving things around. Hope that helps

Thanks for the input

Thanks for all the help. I think it is just the monitor not drawing it correctly. If I zoom in closer and then wait several minutes the lines become straight. Probably running out of memory since this page was huge. Thanks again.
