Scanned Batch Divide - does it work?

I have PSE2 and am happy with it. However I noticed on a web page that PSE3 would allow me to put as many pictures on the scanner bed and scan them. PSE3 would be able to seperate them and straighten them and file them seperately. Is this correct? Does this work?

I have a huge tub full of pictures I would like to get scanned. This seems like it would make the insurmountible task less daunting. Any comments?

Thanks in advance
Nancy

I don't have Elements, I've got CS, but this works for me. I use File-Import to start the scanner with the photos on the scanner bed, then once they're scanned, use File-Automate-crop and straighten to separate each. The only thing is that you need to leave some space between the photos, otherwise it won't separate any. But check your scanner as well, I just bought the Epson 4180 and it detects separate photos on the bed and sends them to CS as separate photos.
Good luck!

I've used it several times

in PSE3 and it works great! Very very nice. You should leave some space between photos, but I didn't leave a ton and it was still smart enough to do it.
