Brush Question

Does anyone have a lead on a good brush to use to "sand" a LO and also one that will make line's around the outside of a picture (kind of framing it)? I've got several brushes but they just don't produce the effect I'm looking for. Help?

Debbie

what program do you use? if you use PS you can change the shape dynamics I use the angle jitter and scattering alot to give it a more random look .And you can get some great grunge brushes at v-brush by vered .

In pse, you could use the spatter brush (in default brushes) to do this....and play around with the settings. Make sure you do it on a new layer, and then you can play with blend modes and opacity later.

I agree about just fooling around with the brushes.

As far as drawing around the edges of a photo, you can always use the "stroke" tool for a solid color effect. Select the layer, then go into Edit > Stroke It will then ask you to enter a certain amount of pixels and what color to use. It works great.

Another cool trick with outlining image is the "shift click-click" trick. If you hold down the shift key while you're using the brush, it will draw a straight line from the first point you click to the second.

Hope that helps.
