Awesome Trick I learned for PSE3

I just figured out a new way to move elements onto the page. I've been doing the "drag the layer" method -- tiling the files I have open, then dragging the layer onto the main page. I always used to wish I could just drag things from the photo well.

Well, you can't, but here's what you CAN do: Drag things TO the photo well. Just click on the move tool, click on the thing you want to move, then drag and drop it into the project you want it in down in the photo well. Wa-la!

I got that trick out of Scott Kelby's book this morning. I love it already.

Hope that helps someone else.

The book is called Photoshop Elements 3 for Digital Photographers. It's mostly geared toward enhancing pictures, but he tells you the keyboard equivalents on just about everything, and this trick was mentioned in passing.

I, too, have this book--received it as a Christmas present from my DH. It has a wealth of information and I have learned so much from it. It's definitely worth purchasing, especially if your fairly new to digital scrapbooking.
