While we move our servers I have opted to close the gallery for posting until it's been completed. This will ensure that everyone's layouts are moved and we don't have any issues of them being left behind, etc.

The store will be up as well entirely - with VERY MINIMAL DOWNTIME; and this will be merely due to propagation of the domain as it settles within 24 hours after we make the change.

We expect all of this to be completed NO LATER than 6/2 or 6/3.

We thank you for your patience as we hope this will be a great move and help with speed on both the store and the main site.

I know I am just a worry wart, but is something wrong that the gallery is still down now on the 4th? NOT complaining about it, just worrying.

Also, I have no idea what "propagation of the domain" means!!

I know what each individual word means, but the phrase as a whole has me

confused!!!

I agree.. I have no idea what that phrase means in its completion lol! I am starting to get all confused over what I still have to post and what I dont.. Are we gonna be back soon?

things are nearly done and the gallery should be back up and running very soon - it has taken a tad longer than expected but all is well - there were just A LOT of files to be moved. =]

Me too, trying not to check on it every five minutes, so do it every half an hour instead! LOL! Should go to bed really! Nighty night everyone, hoping tomorrow will be busy enough without having time to check, and by the time I have time, it might be back to normal!

"propagation of the domain" means that your ISP (the people you get internet from) caches the address of the servers on the web. What they cache is a number, not a domain name like Scrapbook-bytes.com. So when you move servers, they are a different number sometimes and it takes awhile (a couple of days) for everyone to get the new "forwarding address" so they can match the new number with the name. Hope that helps.
