AAM #8-I'll Never Forget What I was Doing On/When....

I've seen this idea in a few places, and I thought it would be a good topic for us. Since we are basically keeping a history for future generations, I thought it would be very interesting to journal about what we were doing when we found out about certain historical events. There are some things that make the world just "stop"

Some examples from my lifetime are: death of Princess Diana, the loss of two space shuttle crews, and September 11.

Your layout could include many events on one page, many individual layouts, or just one layout of the most significant thing to you.

Whatever the event/events, they are part of our history. They are an important part of what makes us who we are. They will be valuable pages in our AAM books. I think future generations will be fascinated to see our firsthand reactions to these historical events.

Don't forget to post to the AAM gallery, and link the links here.

Here is my layout.

This day is much like the day I had my first baby in the way of I'll never forget how I felt at that very one moment in time. That second that my life changed both times in such a dramatic way. One was the best moment of my life and just three weeks later the other (9-11) was just awful. Thanks for looking.

Cardee,

This sounds like a great idea--my only problem will be remembering what I was doing LOL! I guess it would be better to get down what I can remember before I forget even more!

I am really behind in my challenges. I finally finished my high school graduation.

I don't know why, but it just doesn't look as good when I post it. Maybe I am saving and resizing the wrong way.

Cardee, do you have a list of all the challenges so far?

Pam M.

I'm posting the challenges in a new thread, ok? That way more people can see them!

I am short on time, but it looks as if I am going to have to type in the journaling because the font is hard to read.

9.11.2001 ~ I'll Never Forget What I Was Doing

This was hard for me to decide. I was in shock when President Kennedy was shot and that was a huge event in my life, I have always followed the space program and the tragic deaths with the Challenger and the Columbia were also big events in my life, but I finally settled on 9.11. Nothing else in my life has made me feel the way that did. The terrorists attacked us in our homeland and that makes you feel violated and not quite so safe anymore. I pray everyday that God will watch over us and never let another such tragedy fall at America's door, but we all need to stay vigil and realize that each of us is responsible to keep America free. TFL
