Intuos is a professional tablet, and Graphire is the consumer version. Intuos has a lot more options, like you can set it be sensitive to pen tilt, angle, as well a pressure, and Graphire only has pressure.

Worth the cost difference? I don't think so, but if/when I ever design professionally, close to full-time many years in the future, LOL, I'll look into a really nice tablet. Hopefully by then the tablet monitors and PCs will have caught on and be cheaper than they are now.

So go for the Graphire. I've never run out of space on the 4x6. Unless you're doing huge, painterly strokes or need more sensitivity/density for detail work, that size is fine.
