I do both. My youngest son's album is completely digital, but my other two children have traditionally scrapped albums since most of their photos were not taken with a digital camera. I have scanned some of our heritage family photos, but didn't do my teens' pictures since I have their albums already caught up in paper. I keep an 8 x 8 digital family album and a 12 x 12 paper family album. Sometimes I just have to cut some paper! I also like to paper scrap our Disney vacation albums since I started using a particular kind of album with black paper for them years ago.

Digital seems more practical to me because now I get right to scrapping my photos. They don't languish in boxes! But there is still an allure to all the gorgeous paper and 3D embellishments!

I was never too into the social side of paper scrapping as a lot of women are, but I understand that need for community. Having other SBBers to share with has really been fun.

Anyway, it certainly doesn't have to be either/or! You can do both. I'm sure most of us started out by simply printing out our journaling or editing photos. It's really up to you how far you want to go! Maybe you might want to keep an 8 x 8 digital album for only specific kinds of photos--landscape or artshots or single photos that you treat digitally with dramatic effects--and keep the 12 x 12 paper album for your traditional style layouts. Just a thought! Keep it fun!
