Great choice - - Arizona in March is perfect and there is so much to do in the Phoenix metropolitatn area!! Think about going to the Desert Botanical Garden since it will be spring. You mentioned spring training, so if you like baseball then it may be worth it to take a peak at Bankone Ballpark. You can have a drink at Front Row restaurant overlooking the playing field - - the ballpark was the first to have a retractable roof and there is a swimming pool that can ber rented for games
Also, a hike in South Mountain Park in the spring could be pretty nice. There are so many great places to eat as well - - if you are looking for an
awesome dining experience, try T. Cook's at the the Royal Palms Resort - - you will need a reservation though.
