wow, suzanne and shannon did a great job of answering those questions!!
as a digital image pro user, i would def. reccomend that program, esp. to someone that is just beginning to computer scrap. it is very user friendly, not intimidating, and has ton's of possibilities. plus if you decide that you dont like cg scrapping, there are still SO many things that you can do with the program!!
