Hi Karen! What a precious photo and the scripture is perfect!
First of all the plaid bg is a bit distracting so I think it would be best to blur it a little.
I did a quick 5 minute try.
I lassoed your little guy, select>inverse>filter>blur>lens blur or gausian would work.
Of course I did it really fast- so it's a little sloppy.
I used century gothic (size 40 & spread out about 50) and petra script (size 150) found here
