I've never had an HP printer, but when I found the wide format at a local store, I ran home to do some research on it. The reviews were not good for the hp. So I opted to wait. I'm still up in the air between the epson & the canon, but am leaning more toward the canon. I've had several epson printers, & while I love the quality, the ink does go fast. (of course, I print ALOT). We have a new Best Buy opening this week, so I'm going to see if they carry the canon, if not, I'll probably order one online. Wish I could be more help, but there are tons of reviews online for every printer imaginable.
