The main thing you need now is a software package to work with. Check out
this entry from the FAQ about trial version available for download. Everybody has their own preferences; you just need to figure out what program you like.
Also check out the
newbie scrap/challenge. Two of the DTM head up a scrap aimed at helping beginners learn more about their program of choice and the art of digital scrapbooking.
One last thing to think about is trying a "My First LO in..." PSE/PSP/DIP/PS/PI (the most used software programs). The schedule is NOT set yet but SBB's School of Scrap will be having one beginner class per program in November.
