I have lots of vintage items I would like to turn into elements.

Right now I am working with an oval photograph in a goldish colored matte, all aged and with some foxing. I would like to turn her into a locket-like element. I figure she's from around the 19teens or 1920s, easily.

Can someone recommend a good tutorial for this type of thing. . .? I am using Photoshop 7 and fairly new to Photoshop and digital scrapping.
