I think I have the first 'big'/4 week class on the sched, so here is some extra info in case you are considering enrolling or would just like to know more.
The class will be from August 24th through September 14th at 8:30 pm Eastern; each class will be one hour long unless there is an extra long Q&A or need for further explanation of any idea. Please be prompt in arriving on time.
So far, we will be covering what journaling is, why people journal, how journaling and scrapping relate to one another, a journaling checklist, journaling methods, basic English grammar rules, using others' words in journaling with a brief touch on copyright issues, journaling for others, and finding your voice.
There will be fairly extensive notes for each class period which I will either email out or post in the group section for you to dl ahead of time (however that will work with the class software), and there will be some homework assignments. These won't be anything huge, but something that will help to further your study and should be done in order to run them by the group and me for advice in improvement.
This seems like an obvious thing, but do not sign up for this class if you don't like to write or at least are not open to the idea of writing more and discussing it.
No complaining from the peanut gallery abt writing when that's the whole point of this class!
As for my qualifications, I do have a B.A. in English and Creative Writing (with a 3.7 GPA), but I feel my real love for writing qualifies me more than a degree. I have been writing stories since I was in third grade (so almost 20 years) and have had my work published locally and nationally in the past.
