Hi Becky!
I created the DTM avatars (see below) using PI. The pen tool in PS is hard for me to use although I normally use PS for element design and scrapping.
I use the path drawing tool in PI-it's really not that hard
The key to remember is use your layers and don't worry if the shapes aren't exactly perfect. You can always make another shape and layer it so you get the shape you want.
