I can't believe this is happening just a mile away!

About noon today, I heard a lot of sirens but I live on the main road in town so didn't pay much attention. Now mind you, I had my door wide open and I was home alone. My girlfriends stopped by and wanted to know if I knew what was going on. She wanted to make sure I locked my door. You see one of our local banks (I live in a very small town) had been robbed at gunpoint. The bank that was robbed was not even a quarter of a mile from my dd's house. I immediately called her to get my grandson ins the house because he rides his bike on the road just behind the bank. I know this happens too often in bigger areas but this has really scared me. We had an armed robbery just about 8 miles from me last week. I don't like locking my doors during the day but I guess I better get use to until at least they track down who is doing this. Let's put it this way there are so many police officers in town right now that there just might be more police than residents.
