I thought it might be helpful to others if we make a list of the places where we find our lesson plans or we draw ideas from. Where do you find the best information? Where do you get worksheets or unit studies? That sort of thing.

I'll start:

Core Knowledge
I LOVE this site. We got the Core Knowledge Sequence and it's very helpful, as well as the Core Knowledge Series (What Your Kindergartener (First Grader, etc) Needs to Know). The site has many lesson plans made for each grade and based on the sequence, but I'm sure many people can adapt them to their preferences.

Learning Page
This site has unit studies and even a printable mural for coloring and hanging up. So far we've got the Oceans Unit that Alex is having a blast with!!

Headsprout Reading
This is a web-based reading program that I bought for Alex. He finished the first 40 "episodes" in just a couple months and is now onto the Reading Independence "episodes" (the final 40). It costs $100 for the first 40 (payable in monthly installments) and $80 for the second (I believe it's $80, and also payable in monthly installments). I LOVE this program. Alex has had tremendous success and can read so much already. I'd recommend this to anyone!!

I used to have a lot more, but I seem to have lost my Yahoo Companion Toolbar and all the favorites on it, but I'll try to get them back!
